H.D.F. Painting was selected to paint the Clara Sexton House in Billerica. The house is a 1724 colonial that has been modified over the years. The house is home to the Billerica Historical Society. The paint was in deplorable condition. H.D.F. Painting scraped, primed, and sanded the clapboards and trim to remove all the loose paint. The crew also replaced and damaged clapboards and repaired any rot areas that were cosmetic. The crews of painters are very knowledgeable of the craft, and are very easy to work with. The all have very pleasant dispositions. We as the society are grateful for their professionalism and dedication to doing a superior job. We highly recommend.

I hired Dan and his painters to finish a paint job that I had started at my townhouse – I had them basically come in and do all the hard work – all of the areas that were very high up, 2 staircases and a hallway. Not only was the price EXTRAORDINARLY fair, they had the job done in half the time expected, at the highest of qualities, and actually painted an extra hallway that I didnt expect them to do. Take it from someone that has spent over $40,000 in renovations on my townhouse, the money that was sent to Dan and his crew was by far the best value out of every dollar spent.

Dan has been painting our house in Carlisle both inside and out since 1999. The most unique and involved project was painting our kitchen cabinets over 20 years ago. They are still beautiful to this day. We have even gone away on vacation while Dan and his crew have worked here and never had a worry or concern. The most recent project has been installing 27 replacement storm windows. Our only question is why did we wait so long to do this? We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. H.D.F. Painting is the best!!

Great quality work. We had a lot of wood repair and that was well done. The paint color went from a deep raspberry to light grey and the coverage is terrific. They were easy to have around and finished in a timely fashion. Had suggestions for trim work that we would not have thought of…..could be the best paint job we have ever had!

Outside of painting the house, they did all sorts of little repairs (replace broken glass in shed, fix broken wooden screen door) that was the frosting on the cake. Not only excellent painters, Dan is very open to mixing paints, painting samples prior to the final painting and adjusting colors. I think this is critical in a painter’s job description though most do not want to take the time. Colors can be very different from the sample chips in different rooms with different light and I am insistent on seeing beforehand. A pleasure to work with, Dan comes with my highest recommendation.
