Even though the end of Summer is technically not until September 22nd, in our business, we feel the season starting to draw to a close around mid to late August. Certainly, by Labor Day we feel Summer days getting shorter. It is usually around this time that we reflect on our outdoor season and prepare for the winter months.
Despite the rainy Spring, we had no down time and were able to keep interior jobs scheduled for those wet days. Typically, our concentration of work is in and around the Concord, MA area. We travelled west to Groton, Westford, and Littleton and east to Cambridge, Arlington and Belmont. One of our painters, Harrison Frost, has moved north to Waterville Valley, NH (hmm…you can image what that is about…..skiing) and has opened up HDF Painting North.
Back here in the flatlands, we have maintained a steady crew that has completed quite a few “fine finishes” this past 9 months. We have a nice mix of a veteran team of painters, Don, Steve, Joe that spans close to a combined experience of 90 years. Add that with a younger, energetic team of Teddy, Joey, Gordo, and Mike, aka “Redwood” and Henry makes for an ideal painting company. Each painter on our staff has their own area of expertise and everyone has the general knowledge of our goal to providing the finest finishes in the painting industry.
Equally important is to have the resources to provide clients with subcontractors (carpenters, electricians, etc) that may need to come on board prior to the painting portion of the project. One hears it all of the time, “preparation, preparation, preparation,” and “the devil’s in the details” these two concepts are essential in our trade.
Again, as the exterior season comes to a close in and around Thanksgiving, we look to fill the winter months (December through March) with interior work. We will do one day jobs, one week jobs, 2 month jobs, furniture and window restoration, wallpaper removal, murals, etc. Get on our calendar early for the Winter months Contact us for an estimate at 978-369-3945. Or leave a note on our web page! Remember we are the “Fine Art of Painting.”
